My expertise is in helping people cope, heal and grow. Issues might be related to family history, significant relationships, depression, anxiety, or loss of meaning. Whether it's a distinct problem or just a vague discontent that has your attention; my job is to provide a comfortable space to illuminate, guide and witness your progression.
With respect, kindness, curiosity and sometimes humor, our talks become conscious explorations of your thoughts and feelings. Whether individually, or in group therapy, we come to junctures of clarity and acceptance. This is where talk is strong medicine. Habitual impulses and old patterns fall away to a renewed sense of energy, choice and personal authority.
A broad range of life experience and professional disciplines inform my work. I'm equally conversant in Eastern perspectives on the nature of mind and Western clinical practices. Jungian psychology, especially working with dreams, complements modern psychoanalytic methods. The intent is to understand and move through whatever is in the way of your authentic self and what you want.
I provide brief and long term counseling in person and by phone.
